Lucinda Devlin
24.6.-31.12.2017 George Eastman Museum, Rochester, NY

Selections from three series by photographer Lucinda Devlin (American, b. 1947) are featured in this exhibition: Pleasure Ground (1977–90), Corporal Arenas (1982–98), and The Omega Suites (1991–97).
Best known for The Omega Suites—precisely composed images of execution chambers in the United States—Devlin has devoted her career to exploring the relationship between our bodies and the spaces that they inhabit. She has concentrated in particular on interiors associated with pleasure or pain, creating photographs that draw attention to the power relationships embedded in a room’s architecture and decor.

Carla Guagliardi
October 10th, 2017 until January 28t, 2018

The exhibition seeks to create a kind of timeline, in different generations of artists from the insertion of historical and iconic works of different periods. It is a celebration of the centenary of Marcel Duchamp's icon, readymade, appropriation and the main Duchampian legacy for all who work in the midst of the arts: freedom.

Thomas Florschuetz
25.10.-25.11.2017 Haus am Waldsee im Bikini, Berlin

Thomas Florschuetz'’ “Spiegelbilder” (mirror images) were created in Rio de Janeiro in 2011 and are shown for the very first time.

Opening on 25 October, 6 to 8 pm

Melanie Manchot
on the Shortlist for 10th Film London Jarman Award
The six artists shortlisted for the prestigious £10,000 Jarman Award are Lawrence Abu Hamdan, Oreet Ashery, Adham Faramawy, Melanie Manchot, Charlotte Prodger and Marianna Simnett. Together, the artists selected for this year's Jarman Award shortlist provide an important insight into the country's very best moving image artists working now.

This year's Jarman Award Tour will travel to England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, showcasing work by the six artists from 1 October 2017 to 19 November 2017 in 12 venues around the UK. It allows audiences the opportunity to see a curated programme of innovative and stimulating moving image work and hear from the artists themselves. Events will take place in major arts venues from Manchester and Margate to Newcastle, Belfast and Cardiff, culminating in a special weekend of screenings, discussions and performances at Whitechapel Gallery on 18 and 19 November.

Melanie was nominated for "11/18" which is currently on view in our Courtyard gallery and she will show "Out of Bounds" within the Jarman Award tour.
